Many people are nixing the idea of a giant wedding and doing the traditions they don't want to trimming that back to only what you and your partner really value. That's not to say weddings aren't special and important, it's just not a event that you are expected to invite 200+ people to.
For Tina and John, family was the utmost important thing. John's family helped create a very gorgeous and special day for Tina and John. John's sister Liz and I worked together to find a great spot with an inecredible view of the Boulder Flatirons in the background.
They had dinner and dancing back at John's sisters place and fortunately were able to do everything before a weird rainstorm rolled in. With Colorado, you never know what will really happen with the weather, especially in June.
If you're thinking of eloping, you certainly can and your wallet and sanity may thank you later. That doesn't mean you can't have a delicious dinner, great photography and pretty surroundings. You just don't need to amplify it all to the n'th degree. Do the things that will last and are important to you, with only the closest of yoru family and friends as guests.
I am available for all of Colorado and destination weddings, elopements, and engagements. I love to wander.
