Maggie and Alex opted for a The Barn at Evergreen Park wedding. They wanted a place near Denver, a bit rustic, and tons of character! It's situated near a lake just outside of Evergreen Colorado. It's also right up next to a tiny cemetary. Yea, you read that right. Most of the land is used as a private animal ranch. Coyotes, owls, foxes, horses, elk, buffalo, fallow deer, ducks, geese, muskrats and one particularly faithful migrant heron occupy the property. There's also a herd of buffalo.
From the Barn's website, "The Barn Chapel is an historic assembly of five old barns ranging from seventy to one hundred years old. The barn features beautiful antique stained glass windows as well as large picture windows overlooking the mountains and 48 acre-feet working reservoir."
If you're looking for an electic, rustic chic space, look no further. They have a nice bridal suite with some very interesting old furniture pieces and the attic for the guys to get ready in. It was all really fun and unique.
These two are so cute together. I would say Maggie and I are very similar - spunky, lively and fun. Alex is a dapper man that is all for Maggies antics. Make sure to check out thier fall engagement session for some late-year sun deliciousness.
The wedding was awesome and filled with love. They exchanged bows vows on the lawn and had wood-fired pizza from Mountain Crust. Its a mobile pizza oven truck made out of a 1954 Ford TK Cabover. It looks like from their website they actually have 3 of these old rehabbed pizza trucks. Super cool - and delicious.
The weather was perfect and they had an awesome sparker send off.
