Erin and Travis' Stone Mountain Lodge wedding was jammed packed with so many awesome and colorful origami paper details. The Stone Mountain Lodge is this nice and unique wedding venue just outside Lyons, Colorado. By outside I mean like 2 miles. Super close. It's unique because it has onsite lodging for your guests in old log cabins right on the property. There's also super cute ducks meandering around too.
Lyons itself is very close to Denver; it's under an hour away from Downtown Denver. So if you want the feel of getting married in the mountains without 3 hours of travel AND need places to stay with your guests? You need to check out Stone Mountain Lodge for your wedding. It's also super close to one of my favorite Colorado breweries Oskar Blues and if you want an after party option, they will come pick you and your guests up and bring you back! Which, of course, is what Erin and Travis opted for. Travis is a brewer himself and even made a special batch for his own wedding.
Every bouquet was handmade with paper, tulle, and some buttons. Erin kept a shotgun shell from her and Travis' first date out skeet shooting and put it into the handle of her bouquet.
Hung throughout the reception space were hundreds of origami birds and other animals. Erin really wanted her wedding to be colorful and she certainly acheived that and then some. Even the cake had fondant origami cranes.
I am available for all of Colorado and destination weddings, elopements, and engagements. I love to wander.
