Sapphire Point Overlook Elopement Wedding

Dillon, Colorado

The Sapphire Point Overlook is a pretty great spot to have your wedding. It's seemingly surrounded by sections of the Dillon Reservoir, easy to get to, and has a view for days.

There are a few things to keep in mind. You need a wedding permit which you can get here with the Dillion Ranger Disctrict and while you can reserve the overlook, you don't get exclusivity of the area. It is still open to the public. It's also fairly common to run into a few other people getting married as well if you hang around long enough.

Another pro for having a Sapphire Point Wedding is that there are numerous places to stay in the area. With Breckenridge just up the mountain, Frisco a bit lower, Silverthorne down I-70 and Copper Mountain up I-70. You have lots of options for you and your guests. Also there's a lot to do in the area as well.

They opted to stay at this awesome cabin up on Copper Mountain. It's a little away from the mountain towns, and that's what they were going for.

Gina and Dan are a couple that initially planned on getting married in 2020 and well, we all know what happened. They didn't want to wait so they went and got married and opted to have thier vow renewal/wedding ceremony the following year hoping for better health conditions for all their family to visit. It was certainly worth the wait.
