Melissa and Mike's The Manor House Wedding started out at the All Souls Catholic Church in Littleton Colorado.
M + M are such a cute couple who really cherish and enjoy each other. Their wedding day was a really nice integration of their families and friends. All the details were simple and classic and oh so nice. Just like them.
The Manor House is a really interesting wedding venue. The house itself is like a colonial homestead but nothing too overstated. It has over 20 room, 6 bathrooms and over 8,000 square feet and originally cost $100,000. The reception space that they built on to the house suits it very well and is in a similar style and also has lots of wonderful windows.
It has a really interesting history dating back to 1914 when John Charels Shaffer purchased 2,600 acres of land that would become the Ken-Caryl Ranch; named after his sons. He came to Denver after his son Kent was in Denver and eventually purchased the old Rocky Mountain News as well as other newspapers in Denver.
I think one of my favorite moments of the day was at the end of the night with everyone out on the patio of The Manor House enjoying the campfires and the awesome evening under the stars.
