This wedding at the Lionsgate Center Gatehouse just outside Denver is proof that amazing things happen when you trust your wedding photographer and that photographer (ME) loves the couple. Yes, I may be a sucker for the name Laurel (my daughter's name as well) but this bride is perfect. She knows what she wants, she's spunky, loves the snot out of Erik, and knows how to relax and party. It also helps that they trusted what I saw when it seemed like I was just fluttering around like a crazed man. I get excited by light. What can I say?

Case in point: there was an incredible sunset happening just before the ceremony. Sure, I could have left them alone to relax, but they knew from my excitement that NOW was the time for portraits. The proof can be seen above and below here. Great moment, great light! They also trusted me to put them in a willow tree with a wasps nest nearby. We were very careful and the resulting photos are something akin to old Hollywood. I love em. You can't plan this stuff, you just have to jump on it when you see it. I also really enjoyed that Laurel wanted to have a first look with her Dad as well as Erik. A very touching moment. Watch their wedding film as well.
