Adi and Carson's wedding was held on their ranch in Eagle Colorado. I really liked that they opted for this personal touch rather than doing it at a venue where everyone gets married. Its special to them. One of the stand out memories I have from this wedding is just how much fun the ladies were. They were super goofy and awesome. It was hilarious when a bridesmaid grabbed some hair extensions and started wearing them as a mustace, super long ear hair, and really weird armpit hair. I knew at that moment I was certainly in the right place with the right people.

They also had some slow roasted beef that was cooking in these La Caja China boxes all day. Normally you just make a big fire break down the coals and bury the meat in the coals. These were the same process just far cleaner. They also offered something interesting for your guests to watch. I don't know about you but fire can mezmerize me.

The weather was great. It was hot without scorching and no rain. The main challenge for most of the day was the constant rolling clouds. Not to get too photo nerdy on you but your white balance would shift about 2000 kelvin in the shade and be around 2 stops difference. Not too much of an issue for photography as I can adjust it in post but it is a little annoying and difficult to be consistant when shooting video. We we're doing both for Adi and Carson. You are constantly adjusting exposure. I ALMOST, (almost) changed to aperature priority mode as I shoot in manual. I opted not to and manned up. After all it keeps you on your toes and not to be lazy and complacent; and that's a good thing in my book.

Another standout memory is Adi's parents. Her mom is this spunky lady that in fact licked her while she was getting ready and it seemed to be not out of no where. Her dad opened up later in the night and was a dance machine and even had a gopro attached to his head. I salute you both.

You may not notice at first glance but these two are tough cookies. Both of them are veterans. Most of Adi's family is. I salute and thank you again. It was a pleasure and a wedding faced with unique photography challenges; which I enjoy. It makes me better and more prepared.

I am available for all of Colorado and destination weddings, elopements, and engagements. I love to wander.
