Laurel, Erik and I planned for months to take their winter engagement photos. The weather was so erradic and I didn't want them to freeze in the wind. Winter photos can be goregous and really fun, but the minute it gets too cold and windy, it can quickly shift to miserable. Your skin starts getting purple and you're shaking. Not a fun time.
Finally, we got lucky and picked the perfect day to wander around the mountains near Estes Park. We started out in Estes Park near some ranches and then chasing the light down the valley towards Allenspark to get the amazing aspen tree shots you see here.
As we left the mountains the sunset started getting better and better so of course we pulled over again near Longmont for some fun sunset glow photos.
